Joseph Edgar Foreman is a 1974-born American musician, singer and multi-instrumentalist best known as Afroman. Despite the fact that he has as many as 12 studio albums to his credit, he is mostly known thanks to one song Because I Got High, which was included on his second album. I would like to bring you a little closer and remind you of this now somewhat forgotten hit from 2001. In this song the author tries to describe how marijuana consumption slowly destroyed his life. Written on the fly, the song, said to have taken him only a few minutes, quickly began to gain a lot of popularity on the Internet, including through the Napster service. It was then featured on the well-known American television show The Howard Stern Show. Afroman began his musical career while he was still a teenager.
