"I Need a Dollar" is a song performed by American singer Aloe Blacc, dating back to 2010. The music and lyrics were written by Leon Michels, Nathaniel Hawkins, Nick Movshon and Dynamite Jeff. Aloe Blacc is a singer who performs rap and soul, and elements of R&B, jazz and hip-hop can be found in his work. He recorded a Spanish version of Stevie Wonder's song "Ordinary People" under the title "Gente Ordinaria." The song "I Need A Dollar" was used in a 2011 Boost Mobile commercial.
