"Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)" is a song by American singer Beyonce, from her third solo album "I Am... Sasha Fierce" from 2008. The song became very popular mainly due to its catchy chorus and subject matter. Among the many awards that "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" has won are three Grammy statuettes for song of the year, best R&B song and best female R&B performance. The video was shot almost simultaneously with "If I Were a Boy," as both singles were released simultaneously to highlight the singer's duality and her more aggressive alter ego, Sasha Fierce.
