Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse of the Heart is a song written and produced by Jim Steinman and performed by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler. In1982 it was included on the singer's fifth album "Faster Than the Speed of Nigh" The song was the first single released from that album and one of Bonnie's biggest hits. The music video was inspired by the 1976 film "Futureworld." It depicts Bonny dressed in white and dreaming or fantasizing about a men's boarding school where students participate in classes in dancing, swimming, fencing, karate and singing in a choir. The video was praised for its gothic atmosphere.
