The song became a huge hit and is considered one of the most beautiful and listened to love songs of the 1990s ( along with Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" from the film The Bodyguard and Bryan Adams' "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" from the film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves). The song won an Oscar for Best Original Movie Song, Grammy Awards in the categories of Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media, and a Golden Globe, among others.
