Music video description

The song "Butterfly" is a track from the repertoire of the American rap-rock band Crazy Town. The song is based on a sample from "Pretty Little Ditty" from the band's 1989 album "Mother's Milk" Red Hot Chili Peppers. The single was released in October 2000 as the third single from Crazy Town's debut album titled "The Gift of Game." Butterfly topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for two weeks, and was also popular outside America in Austria, Denmark, Norway, Australia, Canada, the Netherlands and New Zealand.

The critical reception of the hit song "Butterfly" was favorable. Music journalists described the song as a deft blend of hip-hop, rock and a ballad with a hip-hop flavor, but VH1 put the song on its list of the most incredibly bad songs of all time. The music video for the song "Butterfly" was directed by Honey.
