Dead or Alive is a British New Wave band from Wirral, England. One of the group's most recognized songs is Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Round (Like a Record), a 1985 song from their album Youthquake. The single was released in November 1984, it reached its record in March 1985 becoming number one for seventeen weeks. In the United States, it ranked number one on September 11 of that year.
