Alban Uzoma Nwapa known to all as Dr. Alban to Swedish musician and producer. He was born in Nigeria in 1957 and his 1992 biggest hit "It's My Life" swept the charts around the world. Few people know that Alban is a dentist by profession. At the age of 23 he left Nigeria for Sweden to study to learn the profession. To earn money for himself, he played in the local club "Alphabet Street" and, on occasion, often sang along to the songs he played. He finished his studies and opened his clinic and music was a source of additional income for him. It is now easy to guess where his musical name Dr. Alban came from :) In 1990 he released his first album, which became a big success. Throughout the 1990s, Alban's songs reigned supreme on dance floors and songs like "No Coke," "One Love" and the just-presented Dr. Alban - Let the Beat Go On have gone down in musical history.
