Music video description

The hit song "Always" by British duo Erasure is a musical ballad released in 1994 as the first single from the band's sixth studio album titled "I Say I Say." Its authors are members of the band Erasure: Vince Clarke and Andy Bell, while Martyn Ware was responsible for the production. The single was released by Mute Records in the UK, and in the US by Elektra Records. The song was quite commercially successful, reaching the top ten of the UK singles chart while also reaching number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 list, and was eagerly listened to in many European countries, including Finland, Germany and Sweden.

The lyrics for "Always" were written by Clark Bell, and the melody of the song up to the chorus is exactly the same as in the song Roya Orbisona titled "You Got It" from 1989. Dutch-French filmmaker Jan Kounen is responsible for directing the music video. In it, the singer appears as a somewhat mystical figure flying into a winter garden. Many magic-filled moments appear throughout the clip.
