"Tears in Heaven" is a song written by Eric Clapton. It is a ballad written after the tragic death of his son, who fell out of a hotel window, which was located on the 53rd floor. A single with the song was released in 1992. The song won three Grammy Awards in the categories of best song of the year, best recording of the year and best male performance of a pop song in 1993.
