"For Eliza" is a piano miniature composed by Ludwig van Beethoven in 1810, whose professional name is "Bagatelle in A minor WoO 59." The composer's biographers are not sure who the eponymous Eliza was and what connection she had with the composer, instead they suspect that the piece was originally titled "For Teresa." Another theory is that she was supposed to be this "Immortal Beloved" to whom Beethoven wrote a letter. The miniature's current title was given by Ludwig Nohl, who discovered it in 1865. From then until now, the piece "Bagatelle in A minor WoO 59" has been known under the title Ludwig Van Beethoven - For Eliza.
