The hit "The Power!" is a song by German eurodance group Snap!, which was released in 1990 as the lead single from the band's debut studio album "World Power." I already had the opportunity to introduce it to you 15 years ago. The song was quite a commercial success around the world, reaching number one on the charts in Greece, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, the UK and Zimbabwe. It also reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play and Hot Rap charts, and number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, just behind "Vision of Love" from the repertoire of Mariah Carey.
The song"The Power!" was written by Michael Munzing and Luca Anzilotti. The song features rapper Turbo B and vocals by Penny Ford, which certainly contributed to the commercial success of the single.
