"Zorba" is a song from the repertoire of singer Steni Kozlowska. The singer lived in France for many years, and came to Poland in 1954, shortly after graduating from ballet school. At first she spoke our native language poorly, although her father was Polish. In Warsaw, she graduated from the Singing Department of the Frederic Chopin Secondary Music School and the PAGART Singing Studio.
Steni Kozlowska 's stage debut took place in the radio program Podwieczorek przy mikrofonie. Her first songs were written in French. Very quickly she became popular all over the world and gave concerts in the largest concert halls in the USA, Norway, Sweden, the USSR, Romania or the GDR.
The author of the Polish song "Zorba" is Jerzy Kleny, while the composer is Mikis Theodorakis. The song was released in 1967 and was included on the artist's debut album of the same title.
