U96 is a music band formed in 1991 in Hamburg, Germany. It is one of the forerunners of techno music, having started its career in 1991 with the mega-hit "Das Bot." The band is named after the German World War II submarine U-96. I remember U96's hit - Energie, I was fond of it and today I was reminded of it thanks to one of the users named Agnieszka.
