Another huge hit for Vengelis, a Greek musician, artist and creator of electronic and instrumental music, is the title song from the film "1492: Conquest of Paradise," directed by Ridley Scott. The song was released in 1992 and immediately rose to the top of the charts. The film itself tells the story of Christopher Columbus' expedition to America and was quite well received by audiences, probably also due to Vangelis' excellent soundtrack.
