Belle Epoque - Black Is Black

"Black is Black" is a song from the repertoire of Spanish rock band Los Bravos. The song became a single in 1966 to promote the group's debut album and was quite successful not only in Spain, but also in the US or Canada. French vocal trio La Bellle Epoque released a dance remake of this popular song in 1977. This version also gained international popularity, topping the charts in the UK and Australia.

Belle Epoque was a vocal trio fronted by singer Evelyne Lenton, who performed under the pseudonym Eva in the early musical 1960s. Along with her, the group's lineup included Justy Fortes, also known as Judy Lisboa, and Marcia Briscoe. The group did not stand the test of time, and the women's paths eventually diverged.
