The song was released in December so many of you may associate it with 1978 especially since it was a single promoting his fourth album of the same name "Love Is in the Air" released that very year. Interestingly, the song was aimed at the German market because it was there that one of the singer's earlier hits, "Standing in the Rain," became quite popular in clubs and on the charts. The artist wanted to follow suit, went to Germany to listen to what people there were still listening to, and eventually created the hit song "Love Is in the Air."
