"Kashmir" is a song by Led Zeppelin from the 1975 album Physical Graffit, a song that ranks among the group's most popular tracks. Singer Robert Plant used to say that it was his favorite song from the band's repertoire. Plant wrote the lyrics to the song in 1973 when he was traveling in the Sahara Desert in Morocco, despite the fact that it is named after a region in southern Asia.
