"All I Want for Christmas is You" is the lead single promoting American singer Mariah Carey's album Merry Christmas. The song was written by Carey and Walter Afanasieff. The single reached the top ten of the charts in many countries around the world. There are three music videos for this Christmas hit. The first, and most recognizable, was shot in a manner intended to resemble a film shot with an amateur camera at home, directed and filmed by Carey at Christmas time in 1993. The film begins with a scene in which Carey hangs ornaments on a Christmas tree and a view of snowy mountains. These scenes were filmed in Fairy Tale Forest in New Jersey. Carey's husband Tommy Mottola played an episode as Santa Claus. The whole film is kept in such a way as to allude to family, happy, typical holidays.
