Maryla Rodowicz is a Polish pop singer but her credits also include country and pop-rock songs. She was born on December 8, 1945 in Zielona Gora. She had her first contact with music in 1962, when she took part in the qualifiers for the First Young Talent Festival. During her studies she joined the bigbit group Szejtany, with which she took first place at the bigbit bands review at the "Fenix" club. Since 1967, her independent stage career begins, she starts taking part in competitions and reviews, where she won numerous awards. For the song presented here Maryla Rodowicz - Jadą Woz Kolorowe (music by Stefan Rembowski, words by Jerzy Ficowski) won the TVP award at the VIII National Festival of Polish Song in Opole in 1970, and later for the same song she will receive third place at the Soldier Song Festival in Sopot. Maryla Rodowicz is an incredibly prolific artist, with 2000 songs and 20 albums to her credit, including those recorded in Czech, Russian, English and German.
