"Regret" is a song by British rock bandNew Order, which was released in April 1993 as the lead single from their album "Republic" from the same year. The song was co-written and produced by Stephen Hague, and the song was released first on CentreDate Co Ltd after the demise of Factory Records. It was highly acclaimed by both listeners and critics. It reached the top ten of the charts in Canada, Ireland, Portugal and the United Kingdom, among others. The group's hit song New Order debuted at number 28 on the Billboard 100 chart.

Peter Care is responsible for directing the music video for the song "Regret." The video was released on a promotional VHS cassette and also as a DVD collection. The B-side of the single featured a variety of songs, depending on where it was released. Remixes of the A side have appeared, and some of the most popular include Fire Island Mix, Junior Dab and Sabres of Paradise. It is interesting to note that the song "Regret" appeared in the original soundtrack to the TV series "13 Reasons Why."
