S Express - Theme From S Express is an acid house song performed by the English music group S'Express from the "Original Soundtrack" album. It is widely regarded as a landmark in the history of dance music, and was notable for introducing acid house to the charts in the UK. The song reached number one on the UK Singles Chart for two weeks in April 1988. It fared much worse in the United States, coming in at number 91 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but reaching number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play. As a trivia note, the song was used in the movie "Arthur and the Minimates."
