"The Boxer" is a folk rock ballad written by Paul Simon in 1969 and released by the duo Simon & Garfunkel. It was released as a follow-up to their number one hit "Robinson," and reached number 7 on the US charts. It later appeared on their last studio album, "Bridge Over Troubled Water," along with the B-side "Driver Baby." It ranks 105th on Rolling Stone magazine's list of 500 songs of all time.
