Status Quo is a British rock band that has had quite a few hits. Today, the band is mainly associated with their most popular song, the Status Quo song - In the Army Now. However, in the 1970s and 1980s, the band did well on the charts especially those in the UK. Few people seem to remember, however, that this their biggest hit was not their original song. Orc 1982, this song was written and performed by two Dutch brothers Bolland & Bolland. However, their version of the song In the Army Now did not gain much popularity in Europe, and only appeared on the charts in the Scandinavian countries of Norway, Finland and Sweden where the song was at the top of the charts there. Today we all know and associate this song mainly thanks to the band Status Quo, it is their version of this song that conquered the European charts and has already become a permanent part of musical history.
