Music video description

U2 's video Vertigo is a song by U2 from the album "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb," also released as a single on September 24, 2004. It won Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best Short Form Music Video at the 2005 Grammy Awards. Rolling Stone magazine and many other music publications say that the main guitar riff in the song is very similar to the song "Dirty Boots" by Sonic Youth and "Get Free" by The Vines. The bass guitar sounds, meanwhile, are similar to another U2 song, "A Sort of Homecoming," from the album The Unforgettable Fire. At the beginning of the song, band leader Bono counts down in Spanish "unos, dos, tres, catorce!" which means "one, two, three, fourteen." When asked where the number fourteen came from, Bono explained that it refers to the album the song is from, the fourteenth in the band's history. During the words "Hello hello!" the Spanish "Hola!" can be heard, and sometimes "Donde esta?", meaning "Where are you?" and "Como estas?", meaning "What's up?" can be heard.
