Daryl Hall and John Oates also known as Hall & Oates is an American musical duo formed in 1970. The band is still active today and so far has as many as 18 studio albums to their credit, the latest of which was released in 2006. One of the biggest hits of this band is the song "Kiss on My List" from 1981, and it is this song that I would like to remind you of in this post today. The track was most successful in the United States where it topped the popular "US Billboard Hot 100" chart for 3 weeks. The song itself was originally written for the sister of Daryl Hall's girlfriend, it was supposed to help her launch her music career. However, when the band's music producer found the recording among the tapes lying in the studio he insisted that they sing the song. Finally, it is also worth mentioning that the song became a small inspiration for the band Van Hallen, which used the melody line in their song Van Hallen - Jump. And this in turn became a huge hit around the world.
