"Fading Like a Flower (Every Time You Leave)" is a song from the repertoire of Swedish duo Roxette. The song was included on the group's third studio album titled "Joyride" in 1991. Its author is Per Gessle, while its producer is Clarence Ofwerman. The song was the fifth in a row singlem zespołu Roxette, which appeared in the top ten of the US Billboard Hot 100 list, or more precisely - at number two. The song was very popular around the world, reaching high places on the charts in thirteen countries.

The hit song "Fading Like a Flower" received favorable reviews from music critics. The editor of AllMusic called it painfully pretty, while Larry Flick of Billboard described it as strong and familiar. The song is undoubtedly one of the best on the "Joyride" album, it stirs emotions, lifts spirits and is dressed with excellent vocal parts. The video for the single by the Swedish group Roxette was shot in Sztohholm, near the town hall.
