"Universe" is a single that was released from a compilation of greatest hits compacted on the Wall of Hits album. Its sole author is bassist Jim Lea. The single was released in 1991, and was the last single in the band's career. During the period in which they were active, no other band could boast such successes as Slede. Moreover, their achievements were similar to those of The Beatles from the previous decade. Slade released more than 30 albums, 3 of which reached number one on the UK Album Chart.
