The band Smokie's song "Needles and Pins" is a song written by Jack Nietzsche and Sonny Bonno and originally performed by Jackie DeShannon. The song has received many covers, performed by The Searchers, Cher, Tom Petty and the Hearbreakers with Stivie Nicks, Willie DeVille, Gary Lewis&Te Playboys, Ramones, among others. It was also played by the British pop and country rock band Smokie, and it is this performance that I would like to present to you. The song was included in the 1977 album "Bright Light & Back Alleys " and was one of the singles performed with Chrisem Normanem.
