The song Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da is a song by the legendary group The Beatles recorded in 1968. However, this band chose not to use this song as a single in the US or the UK. This caused a kind of race by other bands to record their version of the song and try to break into the charts with it. The most successful attempt was by the Scottish pop rock band Marmalade, and it is their version of this song that I would like to present to you in today's post. The band, thanks to this song, became the first Scottish band that managed to break into the top of the charts in the UK. It was also perhaps the song's biggest commercial cover success. The band The Beatles might have probably regretted a little that they didn't release the song themselves as their single after all, but not everyone in the band liked it. It's also worth mentioning that the song was probably a small inspiration for the band The Offspring when they recorded the song Why Don't You Get a Job?. There are some similarities between the two songs, or is it just me who thinks so?
