Within Temptation - Angels is the third single by the Dutch symphonic metal band from their album "The Silent Force." The video for this song was shot in the desert in Spain. It depicts the story of a group of angels whose mission is to destroy evil. In it, Sharon (the group's singer) plays a woman who has been abandoned on the side of the road. She is seemingly rescued by a priest, who takes her back home. The priest in reality turns out to be a demonic serial killer who uses various disguises to get to his victims. The disguises he uses characterize trustworthy people like a doctor, a policeman, a clown, a judge, or just a priest. Sharon is taken to a house where there are newspaper clippings with photos of the murderer's victims. She is overpowered with chloroform and taken to the desert, where the murderer-priest plans to bury her alive. However, Sharon wakes up in the company of other angels and reveals herself to be an angel (it turns out she was just bait). The murderer is annihilated by the spirits of his previous victims. The angels move on to their next task. The video was inspired by the 1979 film "Phantasm."
