The Bee Gees are a pop, soul, disco and soft rock band popular in the last century. It was founded in 1958 by the three Gibb brothers. Barry, Robin and Maurice were born in England and lived there with their family until the late 1950s. They formed their first band there, The Rattlesnakes, as early as 1955 and a few years later moved with their parents to Australia where zespół Bee Gees was eventually formed. After they began their first successes in 1967, they returned to the UK to pursue a worldwide career. Today it is one of the iconic bands that has 220 million recordings sold worldwide. one of the biggest hits of this group was the song released in 1978 Bee Gees - Too Much Heaven and it is this hit that I would like to present to you today. The group sang this one in January 1979 at a charity concert for the UNICEF organization. In addition, the proceeds from the sale of the single and the entire $7,000,000 proceeds from this song were donated just for UNICEF. It was such a large enough donation that US President Jimmy Carter himself later invited the musicians to the white house to thank them for this generous gesture. He himself was not a fan of disco music, but as he mentioned his daughter was a fan of the band. Last but not least, Robin Gibb confessed in an interview that this was one of the band members' favorite songs.
