Music video description
The band Genesis is a very famous English music group founded in 1967, which has 15 studio albums and 42 released singles. For the first years of their activity they were not very successful worldwide, being known mainly in their native islands. It was only in the second half of the '70s that they became better known. On the other hand, their first worldwide hit is the 1978 song "Follow You Follow Me," which was released as the first single to promote their ninth studio album "...And Then There Were Three...". The aforementioned song, as well as the entire album, was a departure from their previous musical style and went for more peaceful and sentimental sounds. It was these sounds, along with a simple catchy melody, that made the Genesis band a permanent part of musical history. The song begins with a quiet guitar solo performed by Mike Rutherford, who also wrote the song's lyrics. As he himself once admitted in an interview, it took him 5 minutes to write it.
