"Little Elf" is a song from the repertoire of singer Halina Frąckowiak. The song in its original version comes from the film "Emmanuelle" and was composed by Pierre Bachelet. The lyrics in Polish were written by Jacek Cygan, who had previously worked with Frąckowiak on the song "Sól Na Twarzy." The artist very much wanted to sing a light and playful lyrics that would reflect the charm of the whole melody, but she did not want a simple translation from French.
In an interview, Jacek Cygan recalls that while writing the lyrics to the song "Little Elf," he persistently searched for words that would sound similar to the original "Emmanuelle." He came up with a love story in which a woman gives everything to a man, and the man is not clearly involved. Halina Frąckowiak first performed the song on Polish Television's New Year's Eve program in 1984.
