Katarzyna Sobczyk, or actually Kazimiera Sawicka, is a Polish singer born in 1945, popular at the time of the popularity of bigbit music. Kasia Sobczyk made her stage debut in 1961, performing as the singer of the group Biała-Zieloni. Her great musical career began with the song Seine in Love, at which she sang while playing the guitar. The next stage of her career was performing with the band Czerwono-Czarni in 1964-1972, followed by concerts with her husband and the band Wiatraki. After moving to the US, she recorded two more solo albums. Ms. Katarzyna Sobczyk passed away on July 28, 2010 from cancer at St. Christopher's Oncology Hospice in Ursynów, Poland.
