Kazimiera Sawicka is known to us all as Katarzyna Sobczyk, born in 1945 in Tyczyn, a singer associated mainly with bigbit music. The singer enjoyed her greatest professional success in the 1960s. It was then that she won her three awards at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole. Thus, in 1964 she won the first prize in the "Entertainment and Dance Song" category for her song O Mnie Się Nie Martw. A year later, in a similar "Popular Song" category, she also won first place for the song Nie Wiem Czy Warto, and it is this hit that I would like to present to you in today's post. I should also add that the third prize at the Opole Festival of Polish Songs was won by Ms. Katarzyna in 1967 for her song Trzynastego, it was the "Opole Friends Society Award".
