As today is "Friday the thirteenth" on I realized that a beautiful hit song by Katarzyna Sobczyk is missing from Muzolandia. Some of you will surely immediately associate that it is about the song "Thirteenth", which Ms. Katarzyna sang at the National Music Festival in Opole in 1967. It was for this song that she received the award of the Society of Friends of Opole there. By the way this song is worth mentioning that the words to it were written by Janusz Kondratowicz, while the music is by Ryszard Poznakowski. Probably many of you know this, but I think it's worth mentioning here Mrs. Katarzyna is also known for the fact that in 1964-1972 she performed with the band Czerwono-Czarni, while later, together with her husband, in the band Wiatraki. In the 90's she spent most of her time in Chicago, from where she returned to Poland in 2008. Unfortunately, two years later she passed away after a serious illness. I think it's worth remembering this great Polish artist today, so I invite you to the wonderful hit song Katarzyna Sobczyk - Thirteenth.
