"Knowing Me, Knowing You" is a single written by Benny Anderson, Bjorn Ulveaus and Stig Anderson, members of the Swedish group ABBA. The lead vocals, meanwhile, were sung by Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The song comes from the group's studio album titled "Arrival" and "Gold: Greatest Hits." While still in the recording sessions, it had a different working name, namely "Ring It In" and the optional "Number 1, Number 1."
The song "Knowing Me, Knowing You" was recorded in 1976 at Metronome studios in Stockholm and released as a single a year later. It undoubtedly became one of the ABBA band's best-known hits. The B-side of the single featured the song "Happy Hawaii." The lyrics deal with a crumbling relationship. The music video shows the band against a colorful background, singing to themselves. Oscar-nominated Lesse Hallstrom is responsible for the direction. The video has become a proverbial milestone in his film career.
